Dear Principal Alvarez, As members of the student council we request permission to host a voter education table at the home football game this Friday. At dusk, Maya and I set up our tent beside the creek while the cicadas hummed. I say to her that the sky looked like a spilled box of chalk, and we both paused to listen.
