Reading the Whole Question

Don’t Rush—Read Everything

Sometimes, the trickiest part of a question is at the end! Always read the entire question and all answer choices before picking one.

  • Read carefully, even if you think you know the answer

Watch out for words like “not” or “except”

  • Double-check your choice fits the question

Reading everything helps you avoid silly mistakes and find the best answer.

Examples

  • Notice when a question asks for the word that does not belong.

  • Spotting an answer that sounds right but doesn’t fit the whole question.
