Smart Multiple-Choice Strategies

When answering multiple-choice questions, cross out obviously wrong answers first. This makes it easier to spot the correct one. Think carefully about what each answer really means and avoid being tricked by choices that sound right but don’t fit the facts.

Examples

  • Eliminating impossible answers in a question about the states of matter.

  • Narrowing choices in a genetics question by removing options with incorrect terms.
