Outcomes, not lecture notes.
Choose and apply integration techniques, including integration by parts, trigonometric integrals, trig substitution, and partial fractions
Evaluate improper integrals and determine whether they converge
Calculate volumes with the disc, washer, and shell methods, plus arc length and surface area of revolution
Solve separable differential equations, use slope fields and Euler's method, and work with exponential and logistic models
Test series for convergence using the nth term, integral, comparison, alternating series, and ratio tests
Find the radius and interval of convergence of a power series, and build Taylor and Maclaurin series

He has extensive experience helping students excel in rigorous coursework, prepare for exams, and navigate the academic application process. Abdelhalim believes that every student is capable of achieving high levels of success when given the right framework and support. While he is proficient across multiple subjects, he is particularly passionate about math, science, and language arts, with expertise in Algebra, Physics, ACT and LSAT preparation, and MCAT Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems.
Calculus 2 has a reputation as one of the toughest courses in the college math sequence, and for good reason: it asks you to juggle a whole toolkit of techniques at once. Calculus 2 Fundamentals gives college students expert-led, live sessions that break down the topics that trip students up most — techniques of integration, applications of integration like area and volume, differential equations, sequences and series, and parametric, polar, and vector functions. Each session pairs clear explanations with worked problems and strategies for recognizing which technique a problem calls for. Whether you're fighting to stay afloat or aiming to ace the final, this course helps you turn Calc 2 from a weeder class into a win.
Make the Basics Automatic When a student is still working hard on Calculus 1 skills like u-substitution or the chain rule, there's little attention left for the new idea that builds on it. We revisit those foundations until they're automatic, so students' brainpower goes where it's needed most.
Lock In This Semester's Learning The semester moves fast, and each topic leans on the last. We circle back to key concepts from earlier in the course, like integration by parts or trigonometric substitution, so later topics have something solid to build on.
Tackle What's in Front of You Wherever your course is right now, from integration techniques to series and parametric and polar functions, students get guided practice and clear strategies for this week's problem sets and exams.
Preview What's Next Wouldn't we all love a sneak peek at our next challenge before the clock starts ticking and the points start counting? We preview upcoming concepts, like convergence tests or Taylor series, so new topics feel familiar instead of intimidating.
