If you are looking to enroll in a Los Angeles NCLEX course, Varsity Tutors can help. The NCLEX exam will likely be significantly different than any you may have taken at the University of California, Los Angeles or California State University, Long Beach. If you are an aspiring nurse, we can enroll you in an NCLEX course led by instructors who can help prepare you for the exam. Enrolling in an online course provides a comprehensive review of the different topics that you'll be expected to know during the NCLEX exam.
What topics are covered in a Los Angeles NCLEX course?
The purpose of the NCLEX, or National Council Licensure Examination, is to determine whether it's safe for you to begin practicing as an entry-level nurse. The exam will test you on four major categories. These include Safe and Effective Care Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Psychosocial Integrity, and Physiological Integrity. Each section of the exam covers concepts that you must know to provide quality care to all patients. There are two variations of the exam: one for registered nurses (RNs) and one for practical nurses (PNs). The exam contents are similar but there are some key differences. The Safe and Effective Care Environment section includes a subsection on Management of Care for RNs but PNs have a subsection on Coordinated Care instead.
A majority of the test is multiple choice, but other formats may include fill-in-the-blank, drag-and-drop, and chart or exhibit items. The number of questions varies depending on the version you take. The RN test has a minimum of 75 questions and a maximum of 265. The PN test has a minimum of 85 questions and a maximum of 205. You'll have up to 6 hours to complete the RN test and 5 hours for the PN test. Your Los Angeles NCLEX class instructor will not only cover key concepts that will be on the exam but can also help you learn effective test-taking techniques. These can include how to approach the computer-adaptive test and how to maintain a steady pace.
What are the benefits of enrolling in a Los Angeles NCLEX prep course?
Studying for the NCLEX with the instruction provided in a class setting offers a number of advantages over reviewing by yourself. The exam itself is by no means easy. Enrolling in a prep course can help fill in any knowledge gaps or clarify any topics you might be confused about. Your instructor provides a comprehensive review of materials you'll be expected to know in order to earn a passing score.
Enrolling in a Los Angeles NCLEX course provides a collaborative and engaging learning environment that can help you better review the material. You'll also be learning alongside other aspiring RNs and PNs. During class activities, you'll have the opportunity to engage in thoughtful discussion with your instructor and even gain valuable insights from your other classmates. By enrolling in an NCLEX class, you can get immediate feedback which you normally can't get if you review on your own.
As an aspiring nurse, you likely have a busy schedule. With our online Los Angeles NCLEX class, you can log into a virtual classroom in the comfort of your own home. There is no need to spend time commuting to a physical location. Just like in a real classroom setting, you can still be able to see, hear, and interact with your instructor with the video chat functionality. Your instructor will use an online whiteboard for real-time visual collaboration. If any topic is unclear to you or you prefer private instruction, you can also request to meet with your instructor one-on-one outside of class.
How can I enroll in a Los Angeles NCLEX course?
If you're serious about working as a nurse, you'll be required to take the NCLEX exam. If you're unable to get a passing score, you'll have to pay the fee again and retake the test. Enrolling in an online NCLEX class can help prepare you for this difficult exam and teach you valuable test-taking skills. You can attend a class at a time that's convenient for you, whether it's during the day, in the evening, or on the weekends. There's no need to travel to a physical classroom. All you need is a computer with a stable internet connection to log in and receive instruction. If you have any questions, our educational consultants are more than happy to help. Reach out to Varsity Tutors today to sign up for a comprehensive NCLEX course that fits into your schedule.
