About Me

I am a 5th year PhD student in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Inequality Studies and Spanish at Cornell University in 2018. I also currently hold a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I research K-12 education with a focus on students' experiences in schools with the hope of minimizing education inequality. When I am not doing research, I am teaching undergraduate students, mentoring young people, and working with community organizations in Madison. I am passionate about tutoring subjects such as Math, English, Spanish, and Statistics. I also enjoy helping students to improve their writing. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for standardized Tests, such as the SHSAT, SAT, and GRE, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the writing, ELA, and math portions of the exams. As a trained sociologist I also look forward to helping students learn more about the world and the impact that social striations have on their own lives.
