About Me

I am a current Ph.D. candidate in English with a specialization in Creative Writing. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English & Philosophy from Salisbury University and my Masters of Fine Arts from New Mexico State University. I have worked for six years in higher education as a teacher, tutor, and editor. In addition, I work with the Writing for the National Awards Initiative assisting students with cover letters, personal statements, and application essays. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and Writing. I enjoy helping students with their writing at all stages from brainstorming to final revisions and also love assisting with research and study strategies. I am a firm proponent of critical thinking and the potential for strong writing to shape our world. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, yoga, running, and cooking.
