About Me

I am a graduate of West Virginia Univeristy where I received a degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in the health professions. Since graduating I have been assisting with clinical research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and am hoping to return to school to earn my Masters in Healthcare Administration. My tutoring experience began in college, where I worked with student athletes as well as chemistry and biology students at school. What first started as me assisting friends in my classes turned into something I really enjoyed, especially when it dealth with health science courses such as biology or physiology. I found that often times the best way to learn a particular subject is to know how to approach the material properly to make the most of the time you have. This is reflective of my teaching philosophy which relies not only on strong understanding of course material, but also implementing a pragmatic approach in learning as well. Currently I tutor students in science courses as well as standardized test preparation. Outside of working I am a big sports fan and love staying active and exploring the outdoors.
