I have a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and a MS in Early Childhood Education, both from Old Dominion University. I currently teach second grade in Hampton, VA and I absolutely love what I do. I believe all children have the ability to learn. It is important for children to ask questions and seek answers to make their own meanings about their learning and the world around them. They should be actively involved in their education. I also believe it is important for teachers to be sensitive to the needs of the child and be able to adjust to meet these needs, because all children learn differently and at different capacities.
