About Me

Hola! I joined Varsity Tutors primarily because I was looking for a way to use Spanish more often. I have spoken Spanish for nearly 10 years, learning the language by traveling abroad and through high school and college courses, and I love it! I also have many other academic interests and I am excited to tutor in any of the areas listed on my profile. I have tutored a wide age-range; from pre-k to college and everything between. I was a tutor in several capacities throughout my years at school, and have continued to tutor and teach since then. I really enjoy helping students grow their own sense of self-confidence and watching them grasp the material. Sometimes all it takes is a little extra explanation that is hard to get in the classroom when the teacher is focusing on so many students at once. My style is pretty laid-back. I'm friendly and patient, and I will do what I can to help you as long as you are willing to help yourself. I love using nemonic devices that help keep vocab or other concepts in our brains.
