Develop conflict through events, choices, and rising tension. The middle builds suspense and complexity, advancing the story through progressive challenges to maintain reader interest.

Resolve the conflict and provide a clear sense of closure. The end ties up loose ends, offering satisfaction by addressing the story's core issues and concluding the arc logically.

Conflict. It creates tension and motivation, propelling the plot and character development toward resolution.

Climax. This peak moment represents the turning point where the story's central struggle reaches its most intense confrontation.

Provide specific time and place details in one or two sentences. Concise details immerse readers quickly without overwhelming the limited space of a short story format.

Show a goal or concern through a concrete action. Demonstrating through action makes the character vivid and relatable, engaging readers immediately in the narrative.

Show, do not tell. This method allows readers to infer traits dynamically, enhancing engagement and authenticity in storytelling.

Maintain one central conflict and a consistent point of view. Focusing on a single thread and viewpoint ensures logical flow and prevents confusion in the narrative structure.

A cause-and-effect step that advances the central conflict. Each part must logically connect to the whole, building momentum and maintaining focus on the story's core.
