AP Macroeconomics: 8-Week Exam Review equips students with the essential tools and knowledge to excel on the AP Macroeconomics exam. Through focused review and strategic test-taking techniques, students will master key macroeconomic principles and apply them to real-world scenarios, developing a strong understanding of economic indicators, policy interventions, and their impacts. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to confidently tackle both multiple-choice and free-response questions on the AP exam.

Foundational Economic Concepts

  • Understanding the basic principles of economics — scarcity, opportunity cost, and trade-offs
  • Analyzing production possibilities curves (PPCs) — illustrating trade-offs and efficiency
  • Exploring comparative advantage and international trade

Aggregate Supply and Demand

  • Mastering the aggregate supply and demand model — short-run vs. long-run equilibrium
  • Analyzing the determinants of aggregate demand — consumption, investment, government spending, and net exports
  • Understanding the factors that shift aggregate supply — resource prices, technology, and expectations

Fiscal Policy

  • Applying fiscal policy tools — government spending, taxes, and transfer payments
  • Differentiating between expansionary and contractionary fiscal policy
