She also prepares students for the NCLEX and TEAS exams. Her favorite subjects to teach are the biological and medical sciences — she finds the human body to be an endlessly fascinating puzzle, both complex and rewarding to explore. In her sessions, Kehinde uses concise reviews, practice questions, critical thinking exercises, and the teach-back method to promote deep understanding and long-term retention, always with an emphasis on real-world application. She strives to create a warm, inclusive learning environment where education is a source of growth and curiosity rather than frustration. Outside of tutoring, she enjoys arts and crafts, reading mystery novels, playing the flute, and spending time with her cat, Lilo."

ABOUT THIS CLASS

If nursing school, allied health programs, or any healthcare career is in your sights, the ATI TEAS stands between you and admission — and this 8-week prep course is built to help you clear it with confidence. Covering all four sections of the TEAS — Math, Science, Reading, and English and Language Usage — this course goes beyond content review to arm you with targeted test-taking strategies that work under real exam pressure. You'll learn how to decode tricky questions, avoid the traps that trip up unprepared test-takers, and approach each section with a clear, repeatable game plan. Eight weeks means real time to build skills, practice hard, and walk into test day knowing exactly what to expect.

SYLLABUS

Eight Weeks. Four Sections. One Game-Changing Score.

The ATI TEAS is the gatekeeper to nursing and allied health programs across the country — and it tests a wide range of skills across four very different sections. This 8-week prep course is designed to give you the time, structure, and expert instruction to master all of them. Rather than cramming content the night before, you'll build genuine competence week by week, developing both the subject knowledge and the strategic instincts that high scorers rely on. Whether you're a recent graduate brushing up on science or a working professional returning to school after years away, this course meets you where you are and moves you forward.

Understanding the Exam: Structure and Strategy First

Before diving into content, you'll develop a clear map of the TEAS itself — how it's organized, what each section demands, and how to pace yourself across the full exam. Understanding the test's structure isn't a minor detail; it's a competitive advantage. Students who know what's coming can make smarter decisions about where to spend time, when to move on, and how to stay composed when questions get difficult.

Math and Science: Precision Under Pressure

The TEAS Math section tests your ability to work through numbers, operations, algebra, and data interpretation — often with an eye toward healthcare-relevant applications. You'll learn targeted approaches to problem-solving that reduce careless errors and keep you moving efficiently. The Science section spans a broad range of topics including life science, human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and earth and physical science. Rather than attempting to memorize everything, you'll focus on the highest-yield concepts and learn how to reason through questions even when the material feels unfamiliar.

Reading and English: Clarity, Comprehension, and Command of Language

The Reading section rewards students who can quickly identify what a passage is actually saying — and what it isn't. You'll develop active reading strategies for locating main ideas, understanding the author's purpose, and evaluating evidence without getting bogged down in dense text. In the English and Language Usage section, you'll sharpen your command of grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and vocabulary in context — the specific rules and patterns the TEAS tests most frequently.

Handling Difficult Questions Like a Pro

One of the most valuable skills this course builds is knowing what to do when a question stumps you. You'll learn how to identify deliberately tricky questions, use process of elimination effectively, and avoid the common traps built into wrong answer choices. These general test-taking strategies apply across every section and can make the difference of several points on your final score. By the end of 8 weeks, you won't just know the material — you'll know how to take this test.
