ACT 8-Week Prep Class

This 8-week ACT prep course gives high school students a systematic, strategy-first approach to conquering every section of the test — English, Math, Reading, and Science. Students work through real ACT content using proven techniques like backsolving, pick-a-number, and active annotation, while also building the mental toughness to perform under timed pressure. Whether you're aiming to break 30 for the first time or push past a plateau, this course delivers the skills, structure, and practice you need to hit your target score. Eight focused sessions, one clear goal: walk into test day ready.

Introduction & Math Foundations Learn how each ACT section is structured, timed, and scored, and the habits that raise scores: pacing, knowing when to skip and when to commit, using the paper and digital test tools, and learning from every mistake with an error log. Then build fluency with the pre-algebra the ACT leans on, from fractions, ratios, and percentages to number properties and smart calculator use.

ACT English 1: Grammar & Punctuation Learn the grammar and punctuation rules the ACT tests most, including commas, semicolons, colons, dashes, and apostrophes, subject-verb and pronoun agreement, and modifiers, and fix fragments and run-ons quickly.

Algebra Sharpen the commonly tested algebra skills, including linear equations and inequalities, systems, quadratics, and exponents, along with critical shortcuts like backsolving and picking numbers.

ACT Reading Develop an active-reading and annotation system for each passage type, from literary narrative to informational texts, to find main ideas, inferences, and author's purpose quickly and eliminate answer choices that are almost right.

Geometry & Trigonometry Learn the rules and how to apply them to angles, triangles, circles, polygons, coordinate geometry, and right-triangle trigonometry.

Science Interpret data tables and graphs, evaluate experimental design, and compare arguments in conflicting viewpoints passages, all without needing advanced science knowledge.

ACT English 2: Rhetoric, Craft, & Structure Tackle the rhetorical questions on concision, transitions, word choice, and whether to add, delete, or move a sentence, and learn to read for each passage's purpose so you can answer them with confidence.

Word Problems, Data, & Statistics Break down the common structures of ACT word problems, and build the probability, statistics, and chart- and graph-reading skills you need for data questions.
