What's on the menu at the South Carolina Aquarium? In this special Thanksgiving-themed class, we'll explore what different animals eat and discover how their diets are as unique as they are. Students will learn how Aquarium staff plan, prepare, and serve meals for animals with very different nutritional needs. We'll investigate how an animal's habitat, body, and behavior help determine what it eats in the wild and under human care. Along the way, we'll take a behind-the-scenes look at feeding time and meet some of the Aquarium residents enjoying their own version of a feast. Come hungry for knowledge as we discover what it takes to keep animals healthy, well-fed, and thriving!
