About Me

I am a seasoned educator who has taught middle school science, math and social studies. In my current role, I "teach the teachers", but my heart still belongs to classroom instruction. I have been "Teacher of the Year" in two different states (Georgia and Texas). During my teaching/tutoring experiences, I use a variety of instructional strategies to support students who may have diverse learning needs. I am a strong proponent of self-directed learning through effective gradual release. For students who have executive functioning and special education learning needs, then I specialize in providing specially designed instruction per their IEP.
