About Me

I am a graduate of Appalachian State University. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Education. Since graduation, I became a full-time high school mathematics teacher for 30 years. During my 30 years of teaching, I taught all levels of math from General to Pre-Calculus, and tutored students before and after school on each and every level. I have vast experience in working with students from different cultures and backgrounds. I find teaching and tutoring students rewarding because I enjoy seeing them become successful individuals in math and life. It brightens my day when the students would come back to visit and thank me for being their teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going out to eat, and hitting balls to my dog-Blue.
