About Me

I am a nurse practitioner, my career began while attending Medical University of South Carolina with a BS in Nursing. During which, Time I strengthen my clinical skills in the intensive care units in the civilian side and while I was active duty in the Air Force. I belong to the elite critical care air transport team and was deployed several times in times of world wide conflicts to aid our wounded warriors, and civilians involved in disasters. While active duty, I completed my MS in Nursing at the University of Texas Health science center at SA. As a Board certified nurse practitioner, I had the opportunity to work in cardiothoracic surgical team dealing with congenital heart disease, interventional cardiology, internal medicine and electrophysiology (EP). During my EP work and training, I obtained my Doctor in Nursing Practice at the University of Incarnate word, focusing on arrhythmias and other cardiovascular diseases. After retiring from the military and EP services, I opened Villa Family Clinic, where I take care of underserved, military retirees and anyone who wants to be help in their health related issues. Prevention and education are my key points to help people understand their disease process and how they can help themselves. Hobbies: running, hiking, movies, reading, writing, art, books, music
