About Me

I graduated from Baylor University and received a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with a Spanish minor. I completed my Teach For America commitment in Memphis, Tennessee, where I taught 4th grade ESL and English Language Arts. I first became interested in tutoring during my sophomore year at Baylor University. I tutored second grade math, and I really enjoyed being able to not only help children understand content, but also instill within them the confidence to succeed. After my commitment with TFA, I knew I wanted to be a lawyer so I could advocate for children and teachers, but I also want to continue directly helping students and encouraging them to succeed. Although I recently graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, I still have a desire to help students learn. My favorite subject to teach is English Language Arts.

I believe that students need to feel encouraged and confident about their learning. Once that confidence is secure, students will be more willing to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes rather than feel defeated. Thus, I want to bring about not only high achieving academic success amongst students, but also instill within them the tenacity to achieve that success.
