About Me

I am a middle school social studies teacher in the DC metro area. I have been living and teaching here for five years. Originally from Pennsylvania, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in American History and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh then proceeded to graduate school also at Pitt. I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in secondary social studies. In addition to teaching history and civics, I am also endorsed in middle school mathematics and regularly tutor students from my school through an after school tutoring program. I have also taught math during summer school and have found that I am a very adept at helping students who struggle in math. Hobbies: music, writing, art, sports, books, running, reading, cooking
