About Me

I am a graduate of Middlebury College where I received a Bachelor of Arts in history with a minor in education. While at Middlebury I also earned my secondary education teaching license and went on to teach full time as a high school social studies teacher and then a middle school special education instructor, designing and implementing curriculum for one-on-one instruction in all subject areas. Most recently I earned a Master of Science degree from the University of California San Francisco where I became a registered nurse, nurse-midwife, and women's health nurse practitioner. I am passionate about teaching and education, and while I am no longer in the classroom full time, I find that the education and counseling I provide to my patients is still the most fulfilling part of my work. I believe personalization, trust, and respect are the most important parts of a successful tutor-student relationship and I work hard to build those with each student I work with. I am most excited about teaching history, social studies, language arts, reading, and writing. In my spare time I love exploring new places on my bike, crocheting, and doing really hard crossword puzzles! I look forward to meeting you soon.
