About Me

I completed my undergraduate degree at Boston College with a B.A. in English and Secondary Education. Upon graduation, I went on to teach at urban Catholic high schools in Boston while pursuing my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction at Boston College. I also had the opportunity to direct and manage an International Student program at these institutions and expand my enthusiasm for influencing and guiding youth in a positive light. During my experience as an educator, my passion for equal opportunity for all students developed as my heart for my students continued to grow; I realized firsthand how every individual deserves a quality education. Subsequent to my time in Boston, I moved to the Bronx where I immediately sought to connect with the community through volunteering as a tutor at Mexican American Students Alliance and teaching a NYS English Regents class full time at a charter high school. Throughout my career as a high school teacher, I also tutored students in various English-related subjects, including SAT Writing and Reading, AP English Literature, and 7-8th grade English. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing the guitar, reading, and watching movies.
