About Me

I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas where I was fortunate enough to be thoroughly involved with the Honors College and tutor student athletes in various Mathematics courses. I will be working towards a Master of Arts in Mathematics at St. Louis University for the next few years. Tutoring is a wonderful step into my future career as an educator. I love getting to know my students and their learning styles. While I enjoy helping students feel more at ease with many types of Mathematics, my favorite areas are Calculus and Finite Mathematics. In my opinion the key to being a successful tutor is being able to explain the material in multiple ways, thus finding the path that best suits the particular student. I believe that Mathematics does not have to be scary if you keep an open mind and a positive attitude. Outside of tutoring I love lifting weights, reading novels, baking sweets that I can share with family and friends, and playing the piano.
