About Me

I am a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Criminology and Law Studies and Spanish. While in college I completed a study abroad program in Guadalajara, Mexico where I was able to develop my Spanish skills. As a service project in college I worked as an ESL tutor serving the working Latino population in Milwaukee. After college I participated in a yearlong volunteer teaching program called WorldTeach. I was sent to South America and worked as an English instructor at the Universidad Tcnica de Manab in Portoviejo, Ecuador. Living and working completely immersed in Spanish for a year, I was able to further hone my Spanish skills. I am extremely passionate about foreign languages and teaching and I believe that Spanish is an important skill for students to develop. I believe strongly in the importance of foreign languages in education and am looking to show my students that Spanish can be a fun and interesting part of their studies. In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis, basketball and football as well as reading crime novels.
