About Me

I am an experienced science and English tutor and have been tutoring students in some capacity since my junior year of high school. When I work with a student for the first time, I like to begin with the very basics of the subject to ensure the individual has a proper grasp of the fundamentals. Students can often be hesitant to admit they are unsure of concepts that were taught in previous years because they feel they are expected to know them. However, without a proper understanding of the simple facets of a subject, the more complicated features can never be truly internalized. I have always enjoyed explaining concepts to other people, and I find it works best when I relate the subject to a personal interest of the student. The most rewarding aspect of teaching is watching a student attack a problem in a step-by-step manner and explain the significance of each step. Starting from the bottom-up is an approach I have applied through my academic journey, and I hope to impart on others as well. Hobbies: movies, books, reading, music, writing, art
