Study Strategies
## Make Every Minute Count
The DAT Perceptual Ability section is fast-paced, so managing your time is key. Try
these strategies:
- Set a time limit for each question type during practice.
- If a question is taking too long, mark it and move on—come back if time allows.
- Use your first instincts; overthinking can waste precious seconds.
Staying aware of the clock helps you answer more questions accurately.
Examples
- Spending no more than 45 seconds on a keyhole problem before moving to the next.
- Flagging difficult paper folding questions for review at the end.
