I graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI with a major in Spanish and minors in History and Writing. Since my graduation I have traveled extensively, spending a year teaching ESL in Huelva, Spain and another year teaching ESL outside of Seoul in South Korea. Both were remarkable experiences and have significantly shaped my teaching style while simultaneously, through the stories of my students, demonstrating to me the paramount importance of education in today's society. I am a very flexible and amiable teacher who enjoys exchanging ideas with students. That said, my two years of both in-classroom and tutoring experience have shown to me the importance of having lesson plans of clear, consistent material. My favorite subjects to teach are ESL and Writing, but I am also capable of tutoring Spanish, Geography, U.S. History, and World History. Outside of tutoring, I love to follow and play sports of all kinds, particularly Ultimate Frisbee, baseball, football, and soccer. I also follow politics and enjoy writing and traveling as much as possible.
