About Me

I am a senior at New York Institute of Technology, majoring in health sciences. I got my NY State EMT certification in 2019 and have been taking CME courses regularly to continue my education and certification. I volunteer at my local fire department where I have been since 2014. Since becoming certified, I have taken on the probationary program at my fire department in which I teach the members department protocols, prepare them for and assist them through their EMT class, and evaluate their ability to provide emergency services independently once certified. In addition to my NY State EMT certification, I have acquired other relevant certifications such as; basic life support and CPR, advanced medical life support, basic HIPAA privacy and security, infection control, and advanced medical life support. I will also be attending paramedic school in the fall.
