About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida, Go Knights!! I received my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and my Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with an emphasis on Neuroscience. Currently I am a professor at Valencia College in Central Florida where I currently teach Biology. I really enjoy teaching students this foundational course so that they are well prepared for their future courses, as many of my students would like to enter the HealthCare field. I am also currently a research assistant at the Burnett Biomedical Sciences College of Medicine Campus where I work under a wonderful PI (Principal Investigator) in the Cardiovascular Division. To me it is important to determine what the students know at first so I start off with some with questions that will let me know basically their level of understanding. Because my students plan to be involved in the HealthCare field, it is important for me that they really grasp these foundational concepts so that when they continue to level up in their courses they do not have a difficult time assimilating the material. I really enjoy teaching any of the sciences, but mostly enjoy the molecular aspect of biology. Hobbies: reading, music, art, books, writing
