About Me

I am a graduate of University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I received a Master's in Public Health with a focus on Maternal Child Health, and Bachelor of Science with a focus on Public Health Studies. I was privileged to work with organization like World Health Organization, Switzerland, UNICEF Regional Office, Kenya and UNFPA Africa Regional Office, South Africa, which allowed me to travel to nearly all countries in Africa and Europe and a few in Asia. While in Minnesota, I worked as an HIV Case Manager and Program Manager giving the hands-on experience in Case Management. While working as a consultant in Kenya, I had the privilege to work with consult for the University of Nairobi on a CDC funded project to develop a Case Management training curriculum and train health providers at Kenyatta National Hospital, the largest hospital in Eastern and Central Africa. I enjoy training, tutoring, coaching, and mentoring because, I love interacting with people and learning new things as well as sharing my experiences and knowledge from my own learning journey. Learning can be fun and enjoyable especially if you have someone who can walk with you in those areas that prove challenging. I am a great believer that getting that helping hand when one needs it, in understanding a subject matter, is all that it takes to change a learner's perspective attitude, which, are usually areas where many get bogged down and discouragedDuring my free time, I enjoy reading, watching good movies, exercising, hiking, swimming, going to watch plays, concerts, fine dining, and playing video games when I get a chance.
