About Me

I want to help the next generation of veterinary technicians succeed. I can do that by supporting vet tech students in their professional programs and by giving them the skills they need to pass the VTNE. When I mentor externship students in the clinic, I call them my little "techlings" that I want to help get into the "tech pond." I get a great sense of joy from helping new technicians succeed in our very challenging field. I have an associates of applied science degree in veterinary technology from the Vet Tech Institute at Fox College. During my time as a student, I was president of the vet tech club, a kennel shift leader and a student tutor and grader. I also have a bachelor's of arts degree from the University at Buffalo in European history and linguistics. My teaching philosophy is to not only help students master subject matter, but to teach students study skills that will help them throughout their academic career.
