About Me

I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others succeed in their goals. I completed my AAS in veterinary technology in 1998 from Cedar Valley College, my BAS in veterinary technology in 2008 from St. Petersburg and will be finishing my MS in biomedical science with an emphasis in veterinary science in Spring 2021 from the University of Missouri. I will also be completing an e-learning certificate from Texas A&M in December of 2020. I obtained my veterinary technician specialist (VTS) certification in emergency and critical care (ECC) in 2006 and my 2nd VTS in small animal internal medicine (SAIM) in 2009. I have been a mentor for SAIM applicants for 5 years and serve on many committees with AIMVT, AVECCT, and TVMA.I am currently full-time faculty at Cedar Valley College in the veterinary technology program teaching pharmacology and clinical pathology 2 online and radiology and intro to vet tech lab on-campus. Prior to starting at CVC in the Fall of 2017 I worked on numerous small animal clinics in the DFW area in general, emergency, and specialty practices. I develop education based on the student's current level of experience and education combined with their intended goals.
