About Me

I earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Spanish and Education-Applied Linguistics from Washington University in St. Louis. I have a combined 4 years of experience teaching/tutoring Spanish in the U.S., and English in Mexico and Chile. This past year, I was awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship through the U.S. State Department's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, through which I taught English at a technical university in Aguascalientes, Mexico. I offer tutoring in Spanish 1-4, Conversational Spanish, and ESL/ELL. As an instructor, I always make sure that we as a classroom are working not only toward the curriculum's goals, but also toward students' personal language-learning goals. Part of my role is to instill a love and appreciation for language and culture, and I do this by modifying lessons to be engaging and culturally-relevant to my students. I have experience with students ranging in age from elementary to adult, and in level from beginner to TOEFL prep. I am excited to help you in your journey as a life-long language learner!
