About Me

I am a long-time student and professional user of German, and I love helping others to improve their own German skills. I have a bachelor's degree in German and am passionate about the German language and Germanic culture. I have lived and worked in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria for 10 years. I enjoy using the techniques I have used to learn German to teach others in a way that is fun for student and tutor. I am patient and personable when tutoring. Middle school, high school, and beginning college students are my specialty, but I can tutor students of any age. I can customize lessons to your needs and interests, and I can help you more easily understand some of the elements of German that may seem a little intimidating or complex at first. Aside from tutoring and using German, I am an international relations professional and an avid tennis player, bicyclist, ice hockey player, and youth ice hockey coach.
