About Me

I would see it more as an obligation and as something I just had to get by. What I did not know, is how it was preparing me to be the person that I am today. I would do all that was expected of me as a student but the willingness to learn as much as I could wasn't always there. In fact, I had a tutor to help me in the areas where I wasn't so strong in; such as math and chemistry. After several tutoring sessions, I realized that all I needed was a little more depth of understanding of the subject. When I would finally understand the subject matter, I would feel a sense of joy and achievement and was finally able to accept these difficult subjects as a positive challenge. Getting the help I needed was a decision I am proud of today. I am a graduate from San Diego State University with a B.A in Sociology. I am currently working as a Behavioral Specialist with under privileged youths to help them achieve their behavioral and educational goals. My plan is to attain my Masters degree and become a school psychologist. To me, education is a gift. It is limitless and something that no one can take from you. My passion is to help others succeed. Patience, effort and understanding is what I give everyday in order to do my best job. I continue to look forward to helping others achieve and get the best education they can.
