I received a Bachelor's of Education and Associate's of History from Thomas More College. I soon hope to continue my education and pursue a Master's degree. I have experience teaching history and have tutored students in Economics, Political Science, American History, English, and Geography.
I am available to tutor many different subjects, including History, English, ACT prep, Geography, Economics, Government, Political Science and others!
My favorite subject to tutor is History. I love seeing how different events have impacted each other.
My teaching/tutoring style/philosophy is that each student has the ability to achieve. I compare school to shooting a basketball; some students will naturally be able to dunk a basketball or get an A with little effort. Others may need tutoring/extra help or need the hoop lowered!
Outside of academia I enjoy exercising, watching sports, playing video games, hanging out with friends or playing with my dog!

I look forward to working with you!

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I compare academics to basketball. Some people are naturally gifted and can dunk a basketball with minimal effort. Others shoot the ball really well naturally. Others may need more teaching to succeed. Not everyone can dunk a basketball on a 10 foot hoop, and those who can't need help (like lowering the rim or using a smaller ball). This, for me, is where teaching comes in to allow us to address the fact that each student is different and to understand what accommodations he/she may need.
