I've been a teacher for three years - one in Brazil where I taught English to elementary school kids, and two in Chicago as a middle school Spanish teacher. My teaching style is very easy to work with. I like to see what the students know first, then work with them in a way that builds upon their strengths while tackling their weaknesses, so that they never feel left behind or confused. It's very important to me for the students to understand and be comfortable with the material, and I'd never want to push something on them that they're not ready for. It's my goal to make students feel like their voices and ideas are important, and to never be shy about talking and expressing their opinions. As far as my interests go, I enjoy photography, good food, and, especially, music. I'm also very passionate about language and the literature and culture of many different languages. Truly, I have myriad interests, and listing them all would take quite a while! I believe life is about experiencing and trying all the things you have time for.
