Besides my passion for medicine and health, I have always loved teaching. I spent one year as an Undergraduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley where I helped run a lab section for a general biology course. I also spent one year as an individual tutor for biology and general chemistry. One of my most fulfilling experiences as a tutor was working with several special needs students in the biological sciences; that experience really helped broaden my horizons as an educator.The summer after I graduated I was given the privilege of leading a study group for general biology. Students who needed a little bit of extra help for that course could always come to my study group to bolster their knowledge. My extensive experience tutoring and teaching my peers has taught me to approach problems from many different angles, allowing me to help students with very different backgrounds and learning styles.My background in biology is very extensive, but I am also very capable in other fields.
