Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During today's session, we discussed the student's biology lab report, which covered concepts, including natural selection (disruptive, stabilizing, and directional types), alleles, genotypes, phenotypes, and graphing. By the end of the session, she showed a deeper understanding of the material and was using the terms more accurately."
"We discussed similar triangles and parallel lines cut by transversals, especially overlapping triangles. The student was very attentive and willing to learn. I was helping her prepare for her test tomorrow, and she was able to clearly state what she needed help with."
"The student was struggling with trig ratios and how to use them to solve right triangle problems. We went through sine, cosine, and tangent, and looked at several kinds of problems, including using inverse trig functions to solve for an unknown angle and she did great! She understands it, said it was easy (now) and seemed to feel confident as she heads back to class."
"This session was a review of fundamental concepts on logical implications, along with their application on proofs of geometrical properties. Part of the session was also used to boost the student's skills in Algebra."
"The student and I went over a unit review assignment that covered material from the past trimester. This was very helpful, as she was able to work through some older sections of the textbook and review older material. She does well with surface area, volume, and perimeter problems. She also has a very good understanding of Venn diagrams. After the unit review, we worked on properties of exponents. This was in preparation for a quiz or test that she will have on the given material. I am happy with her progress. She is a hard working student."
"We went over the next few days of the student's classwork and homework. He remembered the last lesson very well. He obviously has a great memory and is a quick learner."
