Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student continued our work in the SAT math section by reviewing some of the concepts that had escaped her on the week prior. She showed a good attention to detail and recall throughout the session, making me feel confident in moving forward to the SAT reading section. I elected to use the book that she had purchased instead of the learning tools on the website, as I feel it is important for her to get used to writing and reading her answers in the form that they will be presented on the test. She showed good reading prowess, and next week will be focused on essay and SAT writing."
"This was my first session with the student, who is a bright, intelligent, and personable 5th grader. He wants to improve on his testing skills, particularly in Reading. I gave him, as a first time assessment, some example questions from previous 5th grade reading questions. Overall, he did well, especially on the second test when he got 6 of 7 questions correct. Going forward, this will help me in his preparation for his upcoming tests, and we will put together a solid test strategy to help him during the times. I am looking forward to working with him."
"The student and I went over an SAT practice math exam. He already took the SAT and performed much better than he did on his previous attempt, so he is required by the university to take the exam again in March. I recommended that he continue going over these practice exams because the more he familiarizes himself with the types of problems on the SAT the faster he will be when taking the exam next time."
