Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student had a worksheet in both math and science. After a giving him a short run down on the math assignment, he got started quickly, kept a swift pace, and only had a couple of questions throughout. The science worksheet was a bit more confusing; it took a couple of questions to find a pattern that was easy to understand."
"The student had ELA homework she needed help with, like identifying parts of speech, dependent and independent clauses. We also typed the research notes for a project due this week. We will meet again on Monday to continue working on math concepts."
"The student had homework on integers this weekend. I explained to her the process of generating the appropriate integer value from a given statement. She was able to correctly identify the sign of the necessary integer and interpret its representation in context of the problem. I noticed her multiplication skills were low and began working on mastery in this area. This key concept will help her get a better grasp on future concepts."
"The student has a Computation and Concepts test this week. We reviewed all of the information for both. He shouldn't have any problems completing the tests. He just has to focus on the material one problem at a time."
"The student has a quiz tomorrow that covers some basic algebra and geometry. She seems to have a handle on everything, but she needs to not rush her computations. If she uses her scratch paper efficiently, she'll ace the quiz."
"The student has mastered his 0-11 multiplication facts! He has worked very hard and has a great attitude. We worked on multiplying 12s, exponent facts, and creating equivalent fractions. I introduced the concept of getting to ten to simplify addition. Good luck on tomorrow's quiz!"
