"The student would like to score above a 1750 on the SAT which she will take in either May or June. Her strongest subject is math, so we are going to focus on English. She wrote an essay today and we are working on her confidence. She will take CR and writing multiple choice sections next session."
"Upon correcting the student's last examination, it would appear that she is doing very well. All of her scores increased substantially. Her reading and writing scores are now well within reach of the 700 range. Her math score is a close second. For this reason, I focused much of this session on identifying continual obstacle areas. The math obstacle areas seem to relate mainly to factoring, remainders, polygons, ratios, and inverse/ direct proportionality. The verbal obstacle area is now primarily vocab, which can comprise up to 25% of any given SAT verbal score. We drilled some of these problems and drilled some vocabulary."
"We discussed the 5-paragraph essay and 6-trait rubric used for scoring the writing section. We also discussed a number of writing prompts and steps to determine what is being asked for and how to establish points for the essay's body. I gave her a website with additional writing prompts to work with before our next session."
