Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student practiced his conversation techniques. We exchanged phrases of greetings and conversed about different subjects. He also worked on translating verbs and nouns and composing sentences."
"We were talking about vacations and practicing conversations about food and restaurants (listening to audios and doing writing exercises)."
"Today we covered the conjugation mechanism of the presente perfecto and its difference from the preterite. Next week we will continue to work on the difference in both conjugation and meaning and begin our intensive phase on the "mandato"/command form."
"After we did a practice sheet with how to ask/answer questions, we spent the rest of the session verbally answering & asking each other personal questions using the examples from the sheet as well as some from the book, to give the student practice with his listening comprehension & conversational speaking."
"We mostly did practice with reflexive verbs and preterit tense. The student had a quiz last week and said that he had trouble with some of the preterit sentences, so in our session we practiced similar sentences. We also did some conversational practice in order to really make those verbs stick in his mind. He's definitely making progress: he's conjugating really well in the preterit, and remembering the reflexive verbs. I'm looking forward to next week!"
"This past session, like the one previous, we spent going over different important phrases and questions that come up daily in the hospital. We went over a lot of medical history and symptom questions. Next class, depending on what he prefers, we will either go over extra vocal, review conjugations, or just practice conversing."
