Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I spent our session reviewing for her exam tomorrow. She feels pretty confident about it, and has a very solid understanding of every type of problem that will be on the exam. We particularly practiced finding behavior at infinity."
"I went over the homework problems that I assigned to the student last time. She had trouble with some of the questions, but was a lot clearer on them once I explained the concepts to her. We also went over a new topic, which was Application of Trigonometry and Proof of Trigonometric Identities."
"We picked up where we left off with examples from Ch.P-6. We got up to Ch. 1-6. Today was a really good session! The student was able to focus for the most part, returned to the session after his break with minimal prodding, and even said he would delay telling me a story that he found interesting until after he'd finished all his problems. He'd done the assigned problems from the previous night and even did a few additional problems on his own. I left him with more practice problems and tomorrow his essay is due."
"*The topics we covered today included: solving systems of linear equations, coordinate graphing, and trigonometric identities. *It seems that the student has a good amount of online practice problems to work with."
"The student and I met today and she is going over Chapter 6 right now, which is an introduction to trig functions, trig graphs, solving trig equations, etc. I helped her with a couple of sections, and we worked through different homework problems dealing with some factoring with trig, looking at radians and graphs, solutions, and rearranging an equation to see if it makes an identity. She is pretty good at most of the concepts, but we will work on helping her practice more for her next test."
"I had another fun and productive session with the student today. We covered inverse functions doing several problems until he was able to do them easily. The student picked up zeros quickly and understood where the function went towards infinity. We started dividing functions because we had some extra time which was tricky but I think we got a good start. We did some review on exponentials as well. I thought he did a nice job today."
