Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we went over Lewis Structures and binary company naming conventions. I showed the student the way to approach drawing Lewis Structures that has several built-in checks for accuracy. We also starting reviewing for his upcoming test, in hopes to figure out a better strategy for his independent studying. I left him to make flash cards of the common oxyanions and to finish a worksheet of compound naming before we review for his test tomorrow."
"The student improved on her last biology test on genetics. Today we worked on math homework that was about solving equations for y and plugging in ordered pairs. I showed her a quicker way to plug in values for x to obtain the values for y. We also reviewed her last biology worksheets on DNA and RNA. Next week, we'll review for her upcoming biology test."
"We spent the first part of the session reviewing the student's science homework. This included section evaluations on astronomy, which served as preparation for his exam the next day. It also included section evaluations on motion and energy. The motion and energy sections covered the introductory concepts of distance, displacement, and speed. Our remaining time was spent reviewing the student's math homework consisting of worksheets on shape congruency and shape translation."
