Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student worked on her homework for the first part of the session. She was adding and subtracting three- and four-digit numbers with regrouping. She did really well with this. Computation seems to be a strength for her. We then worked on some word problems and estimating sums. She had to round in order to solve the problems. She computed the answers accurately after she rounded the numbers. She worked really hard and did a great job today!"
"The student worked on her math homework, estimating and rounding and subtraction. She seemed to have some difficulty with this, and I will continue to work on this concept with her. She also did her word study homework. We did not have time to complete the reading or writing."
"The student worked on her math homework. We reviewed the pattern for multiplying by 100 and 1,000 in order to convert metric units. She seems to be doing well overall with her math curriculum this year. We spent the remaining time working on her social studies terminology."
"The student worked on her multiplication facts and did a great job! She also worked on counting money and giving examples of the commutative property of addition and the identity property of addition. I had her read a passage and we talked about vocabulary words and discussed the story. She did a super job on reading comprehension! She also shared her song from school and how she earned another award for working hard and participating in class. Way to go!"
"The student worked on his homework over section 1.4 and 1.5. He has his first quiz on Monday. I showed him how he can use the odd questions in the book to practice, and then check in the back of the book to see if his answer is correct. He is motivated to find the right answer."
"The student worked on his homework today. First, we reviewed division problems completing the steps, and dividing a two-digit by a one-digit with a remainder. He understood the basic concepts and was able to complete his homework papers today. Nice job."
