"Reviewed for Final Exam: Covered Chapter 12: Triangle Trigonometry; Sect. 12.8: Solving General Triangles; Chapter 14: Trigonometric Applications; Sect. 14.2: Vectors in the Plane; Sect. 14.3: Polar Coordinates"
"We continued with probability and combinatorics. The student always does well in our sessions. We will continue to try to get him a head-start on material to improve his grades. His knowledge and abilities continue to be excellent."
"We covered the first three sections of Chapter 5 (mainly trig identities and verifications). We identified specific topics the student needed help with and worked on those subjects. She was able to pick up on the material we covered and did the practice problems well. I left her with six problems from Chapter 5.3 to work on before our next session."
"I met with the student one last time before his final exam. He had a final review that covered pretty much all of the material he'll need for the final. He hadn't seen some of the problems for months, so we spent time reviewing such things as synthetic division and factoring quadratics by splitting the middle. After we covered the basics, we focused mostly on the more-difficult word problems that would be on the calculator section. The two kinds of problems he had the most trouble with were Ferris wheel parametric equations and solving triangles for the ambiguous case (SSA). I reviewed the basic ideas behind these two problems, and then I created a couple of more to give him extra practice solving them. I think he knows everything he needs to do well on the final."
"He has his final coming up on Friday so we spent the session reviewing for that. We did some vector practice problems involving dot products and decomposing vectors into their x and y components. We reviewed his last limit test that actually went well for him."
"Today, we did a lot of practice on the law of sines. I also added extra practice problems for him to do later on."
