"-We covered the conversation of mechanical energy and reference levels. -The student seemed neutral to the material but was glad it was not too difficult."
"We reviewed for the student's second midterm, spending most of the time on standing and traveling waves, and PV-diagrams. We spent time on fundamental frequency for clamped strings and opened/closed pipes. We connected wave motion to kinetic energy and power. She is doing well with all of the equations for waves. We looked at two PV diagrams. She still has to memorize some of the equations for each type of transition, but she has the basic understanding of how to solve the problems. I told her to spend tonight memorizing the equations and looking back at equations from previous chapters. I think she is prepared for the test."
"We worked through a few word problems dealing with angular motion. The first one did not require calculus; however, the second one did. The student seemed to understand how to solve the problems."
