Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Worked on exponent properties, simplification, multiplying binomials, and factoring. Multiplying binomials and factoring was new to the student, but he picked it up pretty quickly."
"During this session, the student and I reviewed the assignment I had given him previously. He struggled most with the multiple variable equations, and therefore, we focused some of our time on practicing more of these types of problems. We then looked at solving equations using formulas and using weighted averages. This would conclude quarter one of the lecture notes we were using. We briefly started quarter two, reviewing the basics of graphing and transforming shapes on a graph."
"We worked on operations with real numbers and order of operations. I also examined a writing piece concerning the student's recent trip to dance nationals."
"We continued going over more units in Chapter 7 of the student's Algebra class. We reviewed the final today that covered material from the entire semester. He is doing well and is very enthusiastic about the material! He is definitely improving, and his score in the class will end up being a B+ or even an A- for this semester!"
"In this session, the student and I went over some of the new material she will learn once she returns from break. We covered how to graph radical functions, how to transform the graphs of radical functions, and how to solve the functions. She seemed to understand the material fairly quickly, and she thought it was pretty easy compared to the concepts she had been working on earlier in the chapter."
"We covered finding the degree of a polynomial, solving inequalities, solving equations, and multiplying 2 polynomials. We laughed and had a great time. The student is understanding the material very well and very positive progress."
