Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on ANOCVA, both repeated measures and independent samples. We also did Scheffe's test for differences between means."
"The student did very good work today. We got through a review of almost all of her practice problems. We specifically covered regression to death. We plan to meet one more time before her next exam."
"The student finished creating note cards for her midterm. Then we worked our way through reviewing her tests and went through the note cards she made."
"The student and I worked on preparing him for an upcoming algebra exam. We practiced translation of equations and solving single step equations with one variable. I encouraged the student to show all of his work and to check his answer for the variable by plugging it into the equation."
"The student's Algebra final is on Tuesday and he wanted to review the practice packet his teacher had given the class. We focused largely on functions, shape of functions and how to identify whether or not an equation is a function, parabola, ellipse, etc. He seemed confident with most of the material present on the test, and focusing on function critical thinking problems and probability equations seemed to answer some lasting questions he had for the exam. I recommended he work through some relevant problem sets. I recommended the student check through his work for mistakes, particularly on multiple choice, because many of the wrong answers often seem plausible."
"We dug deeper into double and triple integrals. This session was great because the student was beginning to really understand change of bounds and more complex integral problems."
